An nyc city hall wedding and the rain

If you remember the little teaser I posted a few weeks back, you'll remember the fun Kayla and Tiho still managed to have after their photo session got completely rained out. From the moment I saw Kayla's striking red shoes, I knew it was going to be a great shoot.

I wanted to share some pictures from their day. When the ceremony started, we all kinda cracked up because the officiant had a booming enthusiastic show-time voice. Eventually, we managed to get it together. :P

Wohoo! The day looked sunny and we started the film session with little worry for the weather. Below you can see what ensued...

Aren't they beautiful? It was an honor to shoot their wedding and I can't wait to photograph their "second wedding" in 2013!

  1. Beautiful shots. I especially love the ones on the bridge. Rain is supposed to be good luck and bring many years of happiness. =)

  12. Ok, these are all fantastic, but you know where you really rocked it in this series? On the Brooklyn Bridge. I'd love to see those larger, they look straight out of a magazine. In that 6-frame series, the one on the upper right is gold. Really really well done!

  14. I love #1 on this list. I am totally a victim of this. When I started creating goals around my blog I noticed the quality of my content drop month after month. It wasn’t because I stopped caring what I was publishing… it was simply that my focus was geared towards specific numbers and metrics rather than what you describe as “actions.”
Because of this #3 and #5 started failing big-time as well and thus a spiral effect began. Thank you very much for this insight. The big thing I’m taking away from this is… to start focusing more on “actions” again!
