Lifestyle session

Back in May, I took some photos for Nancy, an editorial strategist and just an overall powerhouse in media/publishing, at her beautiful home just outside of the city.

We started with a few portraits.

Then she made a little lunch spread. And dessert. :)

And finally, just some snaps of her spaces. I love the pops of green in the rooms. And the bathtub is to die for.

  3. Without a doubt, some of your best work ever, Alice. These don't just look like they belong in a magazine, they look like they were shot FOR a magazine. That first diptych is beyond amazing!

  6. These are absolutely lovely. Her house looks so calm and lovely to be in and love all the details. Beautiful work. On a cheeky note: can I ask what lense you use for interior shots?

  8. I know that face. Nancy was previously the editor-in-chief of Country Living magazine, right? I love her home -- so personal and eclectic. Your photos are beautiful.

  9. her home is really amazing, so rich in beautiful details! it's whenever i see these kind of homes that my scandinavian taste for homes (though mine is far from that) goes down the drain! and you did such an excellent job with the details and her portraits!

  11. Amazing clicks Alice, loved the light and frame of the pictures. Focus on the exquisite details are just amazing. Gorgeous work indeed. May I ask which mode do u use for the low light areas, for example for the last picture !? My canon 18-55mm comes put to be grainy in 'shade' mode :(

    1. Thanks! It actually wasn't that dark in those last pictures. I shot it at f1.6 at ISO 640. The key to low light is a tripod or a fast lens!
